Job summary

E-Space is seeking an Environmental Test Engineer to own the launch and space environmental qualification and acceptance test campaign for a large deployable antenna structure. You will plan, execute and monitor vibration, shock, TVAC and acoustic tests on the antenna assembly, from requirements flow-down through anomaly disposition.

This hands-on role requires working with test facilities, fixtures, and instrumentation, plus analysis to correlate test results with FE models.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and executing structural environmental test campaigns (vibration, shock, TVAC).
• Ability to interpret post-test data against predictions and FE model outputs.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-1540, GEVS or equivalent standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the environmental test plan for the integrated antenna structure from requirements flow-down to test report.
• Define test levels and margins based on launch vehicle environments and system requirements.
• Coordinate with test facilities to execute test campaigns for the stowed antenna assembly.
• Instrument fixtures; develop test procedures and pre-test predictions.
• Monitor tests in real-time; make go/no-go decisions and handle test anomalies.
