Sargent & Lundy is seeking a lead design engineer to guide a team of structural engineers on nuclear facility projects and upgrades. You will interface with clients and other disciplines, review calculations, and prepare specifications for drawings.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days in Wilmington, DE and 2 days remote) and opportunities to mentor staff while applying expertise in materials, structural analysis, and code compliance.

Qualifikationen

• BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering required; 10+ years in design/analysis of industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL or ANSYS.
• Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• PE or SE license is required or actively pursuing licensure.

Aufgaben

• Lead a team of structural engineers on projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades.
• Prepare, review, and provide guidance for design calculations, develop specifications, and coordinate with designers for drawings.
• Lead/guide structural analysis and design of steel frames, concrete members, and foundations.
• Travel to client and vendor sites for design reviews and field verification as needed.
