Blue Origin seeks a Structural Analyst to apply physics-based methods to complex spaceflight structures, contributing to earth-to-moon vehicle programs and safety-critical analyses. The role emphasizes rigorous validation, test correlation, and collaboration within a mission-focused team.

You will lead static and dynamic analyses, develop FE models, and support design trades for mechanisms, enabling reliable and repeatable spaceflight while advancing Blue Origin's lunar ambitions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in structural analysis of space/aerospace vehicles/structures.
• Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals.
• Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation.

Responsibilities

• Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
• Acceleration, shock, and vibration analysis
• Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
• Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
• Support configuration development and trade studies of separation mechanisms.
