Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Structural Analyst to join the Lunar Permanence team building Blue Moon landers and related products. You will tackle structural analysis for space systems, performing static and dynamic loads assessments, FE modeling, and validation against tests to ensure safety and reliability for crew and cargo missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering.
• 5+ years of structural analysis experience in space/aerospace.
• Strong fundamentals in static and dynamic structures.
• Experience solving static/dynamic problems with physics-based methods.
• Interest in spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation.

Responsibilities

• Solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based methods.
• Perform acceleration, shock, and vibration analysis.
• Develop, refine, validate Finite Element Models and correlate to tests.
• Support configuration development and trade studies of separation mechanisms.
