Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver, CO is seeking a structural analyst to perform detailed hand calculations and FEM analyses of secondary aerospace structures in support of design, manufacturing, and operations for MK2 hardware. You will review analysis results, guide junior analysts, and provide technical leadership to engineers on load paths and safety-critical components.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
• Experience analyzing and dispositioning non-conformances; strong hand-calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed hand calculations and FEM analyses of secondary aerospace structures for design and production support.
• Disposit ion discrepancies and nonconformances; track disposition and close root causes.
• Document stress analyses to support release of engineering drawings and documents.
• Provide technical guidance on design concepts, materials, and repair or replacement strategies.
• Review and mentor junior structural analysts; ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Increase enterprise analysis capabilities, including automation for model creation and reports.
