Job summary

Blue Origin in Denver, CO is seeking a seasoned structural analyst to join the Lunar Permanence team. You will lead analysis from concept to drawing release for fluid/pressurized systems used in lunar spacecraft, perform FEM/hand calculations, and generate verification reports in support of the Human Landing System program.

The role requires a BS in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or physics and 10+ years of aerospace structural analysis experience, with hands-on experience in ANSYS

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical, aerospace, civil engineering or physics.
• 10+ years structural analysis experience in aerospace, energy or transportation.
• Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based methods.
• Experience with FEM software (ANSYS Workbench, NASTRAN).

Responsibilities

• Analysis from concept to drawing release of fluid and/or pressurized systems designed for lunar spacecraft applications.
• Closed-form and Finite Element analyses development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests.
• Strength checks and analysis report generation.
• Test and verification plan and report generation.
• Support configuration development and trade studies.
• Process and tool development.
