Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled structural analysis professional to develop finite element models and perform a range of linear and dynamic analyses. The role involves using Hypermesh, Nastran, Abaqus, and Matlab to process results and interpret data for engineering teams and manufacturing customers.

The position requires a STEM degree with extensive experience, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. On-site work four days a week at the Sunnyvale site is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with required years of experience (5y for BS, 3y for MS, 0y for PhD)
• Experience in structural analysis role
• Able to communicate technical information to peers and management
• Experience with classical analysis software (bolted joints, welds)
• US citizenship required and ability to obtain Secret clearance
• On-site work four days per week at assigned site location

Responsibilities

• Develop component and system finite element models using Hypermesh and post-process results with Hyperview, Matlab and Excel.
• Perform linear FE static, transient, vibration, modal and frequency response analyses using Nastran and Abaqus.
