Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. is seeking Structural Engineers Level 3/4 in Ocean Springs, MS to build FE models and perform comprehensive static, dynamic and vibration analyses. You’ll use Hypermesh, Nastran and Abaqus, with post-processing in Matlab/Excel, collaborating with engineering teams and customers.

US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required; relocation assistance may be available, and the role involves 4 days on-site per week at the selected site.

Qualifications

Experience in structural analysis across components and assemblies.
Ability to communicate technical and programmatic ideas to peers and management.
Experience with classical analysis software such as bolted joint and weld analyses.
US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Develop component and system level finite element models using Hypermesh.
Post process results with Hyperview, Matlab, and Excel.
Perform linear and nonlinear analyses with Nastran and Abaqus; include static, transient, vibration, modal and frequency response.
Support on-site work; interact with engineering and manufacturing teams.
