Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Structural Analysis Manager to own the structural integrity of the satellite—primary, secondary structures, and payload—across generations. You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and ensure end-to-end verification from component to system level.

The role requires a strong background in spacecraft structural development, leadership in analysis, and proficiency with FEM tools (Nastran/Ansys/Abaqus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 8+ years in aerospace structures with leadership experience.
• Experience with load path definition, FEM, and validation against test data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of structural analysis engineers and manage hiring/performance.
• Define and own the structural analysis strategy for primary structures and system-level verification.
• Own structural integrity of the complete satellite including interfaces with launch providers.
• Drive best practices for analysis rigor, model fidelity, and documentation.
• Review analyses and substantiation reports; support design reviews and TIMs.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, and test teams.
