Job summary

Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Stress Analyst in Huntsville. You will apply analytical methods, FE models, and simulations to develop and validate structural analyses, partnering with design and manufacturing to deliver high-performance structures.

Ideal candidates hold ABET-accredited degrees in mechanical or aerospace engineering, advanced FEA experience, and US citizenship with security clearances. Relocation to Huntsville is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering; 17+ years with BS, 15+ with MS, or 13+ with PhD.
• Experience with commercial FEA tools (FEMAP/NX NASTRAN, PATRAN/MSC NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.).
• U.S. citizenship and Final Secret Clearance or eligibility; willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Apply analytical methods, finite element models, simulations, and other tools to develop models and analyze results.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to deliver high-performance structures meeting requirements.
