Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems seeks a Senior Stress Analyst in Huntsville, Alabama to develop innovative solutions for complex problems. You will apply analytical methods, FEM, simulations, and data correlation while partnering with design and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance structures.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from ABET-accredited university, 4–8 years with a bachelor’s, or 2–6 years with a master’s, and experience with FEM tools such as

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
4–8 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 2–6 years with a master’s degree.
Experience with commercial finite element analysis tools (e.g., FEMAP/NX NASTRAN, PATRAN/MSC NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus).
Strong technical writing, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
U.S. citizenship and a current Final Secret Clearance—or eligibility to obtain and maintain one.
Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Responsibilities
