Job summary

Ameren is seeking a Senior Business Planning and Performance Execution Analyst in the St. Louis area to partner with leadership across Ameren Utilities. You will drive strategic planning, performance management, and executive reporting, coordinating across functions and senior leaders to translate strategy into action.

The role requires in-person collaboration at AHQ St. Louis/Collinsville and involves leading cross-functional initiatives, delivering concise insights, and guiding decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Five or more years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading complex cross-functional workstreams, synthesizing information for senior leaders, and developing recommendations that influence business decisions.
• Experience with strategy and/or business plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned function-level strategic business planning workstreams from development through leadership review, coordinating inputs, resolving gaps, and ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Analyze business plans, performance results, and operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and refine planning tools, templates, standards, and governance practices that improve consistency across functions.
• Lead development of executive and Board materials, including key messages, issue framing, supporting analysis, and coordination of leadership input.
• Develop execution strategies for assigned areas that translate organizational priorities into coordinated actions, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders; structure the work, evaluate options, and drive issues to resolution.
• Provide coaching to analysts and ensure quality review of assigned workstreams.
