Job summary

Banner Engineering, based in Minnesota, seeks a Senior Supply Chain Planner to advance inventory planning and stocking strategy. You will partner with Operations, Commercial, Product Management, and regional teams to translate demand signals into actionable inventory plans and define stocking levels across channels.

The role reports to the Demand Planning Manager and is onsite at Brooklyn Park, MN five days a week, with responsibilities spanning forecasting, policy updates, and governance to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years in demand planning, inventory planning, or related roles.
• Strong analytical capability translating large datasets into insights and actions.
• Experience with inventory management concepts including safety stock, min/max, service levels.
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and planning tools; Oracle, GAINS, Qlik, Power BI, Excel preferred.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales, Finance, and regional teams.
• Strong communication skills to explain analyses, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of stocking program strategy and service-level targets.
• Analyze inventory availability, forecast inputs, demand behavior, backlog, and distributor requirements.
• Align stocking decisions with product-family strategy and lifecycle.
• Translate stocking strategy into replenishment, production, and material plans.
• Develop reporting and dashboards to monitor in-stock levels and stocking-policy effectiveness.
• Identify root causes of stockouts and inventory imbalances; recommend actions.
• Support monthly forecast and inventory reviews and cross-functional governance.
• Evaluate demand patterns using ABC/XYZ and lifecycle stages.
