Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Strategic Program Lead (L5) to own one or more complex GFCO compliance programs end-to-end. You will drive strategy, roadmaps, and governance across cross-functional teams, including external partners, with autonomy and executive visibility.

You will translate regulatory obligations into prioritized program actions, support launches in new jurisdictions, and ensure risk management and cost-efficiency through automation and data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience, with 3+ years in financial crimes compliance.
• Ability to independently drive large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs in a regulated environment.
• Deep understanding of AML/CFT program operations and related tech (TMS, CMS).
• Experience navigating Known Problem / Unknown Solution environments with constraints.
• Strong strategy and storytelling skills for Director+ audiences.
• Experience with automation programs and WFM-validated cost outcomes.
• Proficient in Asana, Jira, Smartsheet and data tools; Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program strategy, planning, and execution for GFCO areas.
• Develop charters, roadmaps, and governance for multi-constraint programs.
• Lead cross-functional delivery across Compliance Tech, EAA, Ops, WFM, Legal, Analytics.
• Translate regulatory obligations into actionable program strategies.
• Support launch readiness for new products, jurisdictions, and expansions.
• Identify and resolve program risks; communicate trade-offs to leadership.
• Drive cost savings projections, maintain accountability for actuals.
• Own intake discipline for automation requests and testing plans.
• Author strategy documents (P/PSs, RAPIDs, charters) for executive decisions.
• Manage feedback loop between automation outputs and QC/investigator feedback.
• Lead major incident responses within GFCO (lookbacks, deadlines).
