Job summary

Eversource seeks an Engineer, Strategy and Economics to support Transmission. The role focuses on electricity market simulation modeling, data analysis, and industry research to enable clean energy growth and decarbonization in New England.

You will collaborate with engineers and analysts to deliver accurate insights for policy and planning. Required Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3+ years of relevant experience, with knowledge of ISO-NE markets and regulatory context.

Qualifications

• > Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent; preferred Computer or Electrical Engineering.
• "> Minimum 3 years related industry experience.
• "> Working knowledge of ISO New England wholesale electricity markets or transmission planning procedures.
• "> Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to analyze data and model results.
• "> Experience with production cost modeling tools or power system analysis software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of electricity demand, resources, costs, emissions trends, and the transmission grid.
• Research, analyze, and document power sector modeling input assumptions and simulation results.
• Support development and testing of carbon flow modeling software.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives related to economic analysis.
• Coordinate with internal and external experts to gather data and knowledge.
• Track federal and state clean energy policies and transmission opportunities.
• Prepare reports and presentations and write procedures as needed.
