Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking an (Senior) Academic Internship Program Specialist within the Office of the Provost to provide advanced coordination and leadership for student-facing internship processes. The role includes direct student advising, outreach, and collaboration with campus partners to ensure access, placement, and completion of credit-bearing internships.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong advising, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Advise students on pathways toward academic internships and related requirements.
• Coordinate internship opportunities and match students with employers and academic units.
• Track placements and course enrollment; maintain records of advising and internships.
