Virginia Commonwealth University seeks a Program Coordinator for the Veteran Resource Center under the Office of Strategic Enrollment Management. This 100% FTE, grant-funded role oversees staff, expands program operations, and ensures compliance with APRs and grant reporting for military-connected students.

The position leads campus veteran committees, partners with Admissions and Academic Advisors, analyzes data, and advances student success with a hybrid work model and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the related field is required.
• Experience supervising professional staff or student employees.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with advocacy for students.
• Experience working with military-affiliated population.
• Professional experience in higher education.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, ERP systems, and data visualization tools.
• Commitment to respect, professionalism and civility with diverse populations.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, and direct on-campus programs and services for veteran and military-connected students.
• Develop strategies to carry out the program and collaborate with campus offices.
• Document outcomes, assess progress, and update manuals.
• Lead recruitment efforts with Admissions to support veterans.
• Supervise the Veteran Success Coach and graduate assistants.
• Develop and maintain reporting SOPs and adapt to grant reporting requirements.
• Utilize data-driven insights to improve student outcomes.
