Qualifications

• Four-Year College Degree from an accredited college or university in regional, or urban Planning, or closely related field.
• Five years of relevant planning experience or two years and a Master's Degree; or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Review complex private development and capital improvement plans for stormwater compliance with design standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and represent the department at Planning Commission, City Council, and public forums.
• Verify the design and application of structural stormwater BMPs and water quality practices.
• Read and interpret construction and engineering plans and apply complex policies and regulations.
• Manage multiple projects independently and efficiently.
• Negotiate design changes with developers' representatives when necessary.
• Prepare written documents and oral reports for City management and boards.
