Job summary

The City of Virginia Beach is seeking a Stormwater Engineer II/III for the Development Services Center. This role involves reviewing site development and construction plans for compliance with regulations, conducting site visits, and offering customer assistance.

Qualifications

• Virginia DEQ certifications as a stormwater and E & S Reviewer required within one year of employment.
• Must have an understanding of local and state SWM regulations.
• Knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic computations is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Review site development plans and conduct site visits.
• Write comments on required revisions and approve development plans.
• Assist customers in a professional manner.
• Respond to stormwater management design questions.
