Job summary

Herrera Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Stormwater to lead complex stormwater infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with ecologists, landscape architects, planners, and scientists to deliver high-performance solutions that improve water quality and community benefits.

You will guide design, modeling, and permitting efforts, advancing project leadership while growing technical and management skills within a flexible hybrid work culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering and PE license.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in stormwater design.
• Experience with stormwater modeling and permit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design small- to large-scale stormwater facilities and infrastructure retrofits.
• Plan and design stormwater infrastructure for municipal, industrial, nonprofit and community partners.
• Complete civil site development engineering design for municipal and industrial facilities, parks, trails, and open spaces.
• Navigate Municipal/PERMIT requirements across WA, OR, CA.
• Evaluate contamination sources and propose stormwater solutions to meet regulatory standards.
• Model flow control, water quality, and conveyance infrastructure to standards.
