Job summary

Herrera Environmental Consultants, Inc is seeking a senior-level civil/environmental engineer to lead stormwater infrastructure projects in the Pacific Northwest and California. You will design facilities, manage complex sites, and coordinate ecologists, landscape architects, and planners to deliver high-performance solutions.

The role emphasizes project leadership, technical depth in hydrology and hydraulics, and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in stormwater infrastructure design
• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in WA, OR, or CA (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Experience with stormwater permitting, design, and reporting
• Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling (e.g., SWMM, HydroCAD)
• Experience with project scopes, budgets, and design documentation

Responsibilities

• Plan and design stormwater facilities and retrofits for municipal and industrial clients
• Develop civil site designs for parks, trails, and open spaces
• Navigate local stormwater permits and regulatory requirements across WA, OR, CA
• Produce plans, specs, cost estimates, and technical reports for permitting and bidding
