Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in New York seeks a Storage Specialist Solutions Architect to join the Global Financial Services (GFS) Specialist team. You will design sophisticated storage solutions, drive large-scale AWS deployments, and collaborate with field Solution Architects.

You will surface customer insights to product teams, publish white papers and reference architectures, and help customers adopt AWS services with cost-efficient, secure designs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for our Account teams and customers.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• You will have the technical depth and business experience to deploy storage and data strategies.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class Go to Market concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
