Qualifications
- Proven experience with core Java and concurrency primitives.
- Experience building high-performance, scalable database or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with storage, indexing, and query execution.
- Experience with Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Prometheus.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural evolution of core storage engine components.
- Drive cross-organizational observability initiatives.
- Collaborate with globally distributed engineers focused on logs and metrics.
- Improve operations with clean coding standards and architectural clarity.
- Serve as SME and mentor within Elasticsearch.
- Triage, resolve, and review issues with domain experts.
- Write idiomatic modern Java (Elasticsearch is 99.8% Java).
