Job summary

Mirantis is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Storage) to design, deploy, and operate high-performance NFS-based storage for GPU-accelerated compute and AI platforms. You will automate storage with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps, integrate storage into Kubernetes clusters via CSI, and tune data paths for demanding workloads.

You will work across hybrid and edge deployments, manage capacity and lifecycle, and ensure secure, scalable storage in air-gapped environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure operations with hands-on Kubernetes storage in production.
• Experience integrating NFS-based high-performance storage into Kubernetes via CSI and storage classes.
• Bare-metal operations experience: provisioning, disk/config, Linux networking/storage fundamentals.
• IaC and GitOps proficiency (Terraform/OpenTofu, GitOps pipelines).
• Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go).

Responsibilities

• Integrate NFS-based high-performance storage (e.g., VAST, Dell PowerScale) into Kubernetes clusters via CSI and storage classes.
• Tune the NFS data path for high-throughput, low-latency GPU/AI workloads.
• Deploy and operate storage services and operators; manage capacity, quotas, snapshots, and lifecycle.
• Provision and configure storage on bare-metal hosts, including disk layout and kernel/network tuning.
• Deliver storage integration for k0s-based Kubernetes via Cluster API and K0rdent management/topologies.
• Operate storage in air-gapped environments with Harbor, PKI/TLS considerations.
• Automate storage provisioning with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps pipelines (ArgoCD/Flux).
• Build monitoring, alerting, and observability for storage performance and health.
• Diagnose and resolve performance and reliability issues across the storage stack.
