Job summary

Mirantis is seeking a Senior Storage Systems Engineer to deploy and operate high-performance storage for GPU-accelerated AI workloads. The role is remote in the United States, connecting NFS-based storage to Kubernetes clusters via CSI, and coordinating across hybrid, edge, and air-gapped environments within the Mirantis K0rdent stack.

You will automate provisioning with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps, build observability for storage health, and optimize Linux storage and networking to meet

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in SRE or hardware/storage infrastructure operations.
5+ years building/operating distributed production storage at scale.
7+ years Linux and Kubernetes storage fundamentals (NFS, CSI).
1+ year integrating with or building high-performance storage solutions (VAST, Weka, DDN, PowerScale).

Responsibilities

Integrate NFS-based high-performance storage into Kubernetes clusters via CSI and storage classes.
Tune the NFS data path for high-throughput, low-latency GPU/AI workloads.
Automate provisioning with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps pipelines.
Build monitoring and observability for storage performance and health.
