Job summary

Mirantis is seeking a software engineer to design and build Go-based storage control-plane software for Kubernetes-based AI/compute workloads. You will integrate high-performance platforms and develop tuning, telemetry, and observability tooling to ensure scalable storage across hybrid, edge, and air-gapped environments.

You will own production-grade Go development, work with Terraform/OpenTofu and GitOps pipelines, and collaborate across teams to enable declarative provisioning for CSI drivers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with Go, including production systems.
• 5+ years building or integrating storage systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with high-performance storage platforms (Dell PowerScale, VAST).
• Solid understanding of storage fundamentals, throughput, latency, and failure modes.
• Experience with Kubernetes storage (CSI, PVs, storage classes) and infrastructure-as-code.

Responsibilities

• Storage software and integration across Kubernetes-based workloads.
• Design and build control-plane services, drivers, and tooling for provisioning and configuring storage.
• Integrate storage platforms into automated declarative provisioning workflows.
• Build data-path telemetry and observability tooling to diagnose performance and reliability issues.
• Write production-grade Go software with strong testing and operational rigor.
• Deliver infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu) and GitOps pipelines (ArgoCD or Flux).
• Support bare-metal and hybrid provisioning where storage intersects host and cluster bring-up.
• Deliver storage integration for k0s-based Kubernetes via CAPI and K0rdent topology.
• Architect storage software for air-gapped environments with local artifact/mirror connectivity (Harbor) and PKI/TLS.
