Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Storage Specialist Solutions Architect to join the Startups and SMB team in New York. You will serve as the subject matter expert on AWS storage services, helping account teams design secure, scalable storage architectures for enterprise and startup customers.

You will collaborate with Sales to define technical components of GTM concepts, develop internal SMEs, and share best practices via papers, architectures, and events to accelerate cloud adoption.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for our Account teams and customers.
• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• You will have the technical depth and business experience to deploy storage and data strategies,
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public‑speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
• Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of best in class Go to Market concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide.
• Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
