Senior Storage Administrator

The Opportunity:

CCI is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to serve as the primary point of contact in the planning, implementation, management, and optimization of data storage solutions within USSTRATCOM’s IT environment. This role requires advanced technical expertise and leadership capabilities to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of data storage systems supporting critical military operations.

Location and Contract:

The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage implementation, management, and optimization of enterprise storage systems.
2. Deploy, configure, and maintain storage systems.
3. Manage storage arrays, disk provisioning, and zoning for optimal performance.
4. Monitor storage capacity and plan for future growth to ensure uninterrupted services.
5. Design and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical data.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data recovery and system integrity.
7. Analyze and optimize storage performance by fine-tuning configurations and balancing workloads.
8. Generate reports on storage usage, performance, and incidents.
9. Possess and apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments.
10. Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
11. May supervise others.

Qualifications:

1. Top Secret with SCI Eligibility.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3. Minimum of 7 years of experience in data storage administration, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
4. Proven experience managing enterprise-level storage solutions in a military or government environment.
5. Required 8140 Certification within 6 months of start date: options include 451 - Intermediate; Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC; OR applicable degree from an ABET accredited/CAE designated program; OR relevant training.
6. Additional Certification: NetApp Certified Professional or NetApp Certified Expert.
7. Strong knowledge of storage technologies (e.g., EMC, NetApp, IBM, cloud storage solutions).
8. Proficiency in data protection technologies, including backup software and disaster recovery planning.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a mission-critical environment.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $163,800, influenced by factors such as location, experience, skills, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, education, and time off. Learn more here.
