Senior Storage Administrator

The Opportunity:

CCA I is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to serve as the primary point of contact for planning, implementing, managing, and optimizing data storage solutions within USSTRATCOM’s IT environment. This role requires advanced technical expertise and leadership capabilities to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of data storage systems supporting critical military operations.

The work location is Omaha, Nebraska, contingent upon award of the USSTRATCOM SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage implementation, management, and optimization of enterprise storage systems.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain storage systems.
  • Manage storage arrays, disk provisioning, and zoning for performance.
  • Monitor storage capacity and plan for future growth.
  • Design and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data recovery and system integrity issues.
  • Analyze and optimize storage performance.
  • Generate reports on storage usage, performance, and incidents.
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and assignments.
  • Function as a technical expert across projects.
  • May supervise team members.
Qualifications:
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in data storage administration, with 3+ years in a senior role.
  • Experience managing enterprise storage solutions in military or government settings.
  • Required 8140 Certification within 6 months: options include 451 - Intermediate, Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+, GSEC, or an applicable degree from an ABET-accredited/CAE-designated institution, or relevant training.

Additional certifications:

  • NetApp Certified Professional or Expert.
  • Strong knowledge of storage technologies (EMC, NetApp, IBM, cloud storage).
  • Proficiency in data protection, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Compensation:

The salary range is $78,000 - $163,800, influenced by various factors including location, experience, skills, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, education, and time off. Learn more here.
