Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for the night shift in our Sterile Processing department. This role involves decontamination, cleaning, sterilization and processing of surgical supplies, serving as a resource and mentor to staff as needed.

The position requires 1 year of Sterile Processing experience, 18+ years old, and CRCST/CBSPD certifications upon hire. Night shift with 8-hour hours and occasional weekend rotation offers strong union support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in sterile processing.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Active CBSPD/CRCST certifications preferred or required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble and sterilize surgical instruments according to policy.
• Ensure instruments are clean and prepared for sterilization.
• Package, label and organize instrument sets for sterilization methods.
• Follow safety, infection control and department protocols; operate washers, disinfectors and sterilizers.
• Mentor new staff and support Sterile Processing team.
• Handle care carts and sterile core tasks as assigned.
