Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring an Associate Sterile Processing Technician for a full-time, 1.0 FTE position. The role supports the Sterile Process Department with cleaning, assembling and sterilizing surgical instruments, ensuring safety and readiness for patient use.

Evening shift Mon-Fri, 2:00PM-10:30PM, 40 hours weekly. Required certifications must be earned within 1 year of hire; preferred experience in sterile processing or OR settings.

Qualifications

• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.
• Within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, decontaminate, disinfect, inspect, assemble, package and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Ensure instruments and equipment are safe and ready for patient use.
