Job summary

Allina Health's United Hospital in Saint Paul, MN seeks a Sterile Processing Technician Senior for the 8-hour night shift. This on-site role supports decontamination, assembly, sterilization and instrument preparation for surgery and related areas.

The senior sits as a resource, mentoring staff and guiding processing procedures daily. Required CRCST or CBSPD/ HSPA certification and 1 year of sterile processing experience.

Qualifications

• CRCST or CRCST/HSPA certification required upon hire.
• 1 year of experience in sterile processing preferred.
• High school diploma or technical training completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide sterile equipment and supplies to surgery and other departments.
• Perform decontamination, cleaning, sterilization and processing per policy.
• Operate washers/disinfectors, ultrasonic, and sterilizers safely and document loads.
• Assist with Care Carts, Sterile Core and other areas as assigned.
• Mentor and orient new staff; maintain quality assurance checks.
