Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four (4) years of work experience in the maintenance and operation of steam and power plant equipment.
• One (1) year of work experience in a position comparable to the Steam and Power Plant III.
• Possession of the current/valid licenses and certificates, as required by the employing institution.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assigns duties to shifts of Power Plant Operating Engineers.
• Operates and supervises all electrical and mechanical equipment at Abbott Power Plant.
• Directs training and progression of personnel on shift.
• Records operational changes in daily log book.
• Conducts routine safety training and toolbox talks with crews.
