Job summary

Department of Enterprise Services (DES) seeks an experienced Powerhouse Supervisor to oversee the Capitol Campus central steam and chilled water plant. You will direct daily operations, schedule preventative maintenance, and ensure safe, compliant performance of high‑pressure boilers and related equipment across 14 buildings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Applicable Steam Engineer's license required.
• Four years of supervisory experience in power plant operations.
• Experience with high-pressure boiler and steam systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift personnel in power plant production of steam and chilled water.
• Coordinate maintenance, repairs and operations for 24/7 coverage.
• Operate high-pressure steam heating plant serving 14 buildings on Capitol Campus.
• Utilize Metasys to manage campus steam and chilled water output and maintain boiler water chemistry.
• Schedule inspections and ensure compliance with state and local codes.
• Monitor Capitol Lake levels and Dam operations; advise DES supervision on unusual issues.
