Job summary

Nemean Solutions, LLC is seeking a Stationary Engineer/Steam Boiler Operator to operate and maintain heating, cooling, and power systems at the Defense Supply Center Columbus. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation, logkeeping, and coordination with trades to support government facilities.

The candidate will monitor controls, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure adherence to codes and contract requirements.

Qualifications

Experience operating and maintaining facility utility systems (heating, cooling, refrigeration, steam or hot-water).
Ability to monitor gauges, alarms, and control data and adjust parameters for safe, efficient operation.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on utility systems.
Licenses/certifications per federal/state/local jurisdictions; EPA 608 when applicable.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain facility systems providing heat, cooling, refrigeration, steam or electricity.
Monitor gauges and control data; interpret readings to ensure performance.
Adjust controls for safe, efficient operation and meet service demands.
Maintain accurate operating logs and records of inspections and actions.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and coordinate with other trades as needed.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance per work orders and manufacturer guidance.
Support startup/shutdown, winterization, and return-to-service activities as required.
Follow safety, lockout/tagout, and government property requirements.
