Licking Memorial Health Systems, a respected Ohio hospital, seeks a Boiler Operator to operate, inspect, and maintain high‑pressure boilers, chillers, and related plant systems. You will monitor gauges, control panels, and water chemistry, ensuring continuous heat, cooling, power and water for the Hospital.

Responsibilities include shift inspections, log upkeep, and supervising a Plant Operations Assistant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be licensed as a Stationary Engineer by the Ohio authorities.
• Two to three years of boiler room operations experience recommended.
• Read, write, and perform simple calculations clearly.
• Operate boilers, turbines, pumps and chillers with safe work practices.

Responsabilités

• Make hourly inspections of equipment and monitor operation of main and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain logs of gauges, meters and control panels during shifts.
• Adjust boiler feed and blow down to maintain correct water levels.
• Evaluate service needs and adjust temperature, pressure and flow accordingly.
• Remove water samples, test and treat water and record results.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist with repairs when needed.
• Monitor oxygen and nitrous oxide supplies and reorder as necessary.
• Train and supervise the Plant Operations Assistant and ensure safe practices.
• Prepare and maintain documentation and reports for regulatory compliance.
