Job summary

Modivcare is seeking a Government Affairs Director to lead state-level strategy across the Northeast region, representing the company before legislatures and Medicaid agencies. The role coordinates with Sales, Operations, Legal, and Corporate Affairs to align advocacy with enterprise priorities and ensure operational readiness.

The role requires at least 10 years in state government affairs, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage external lobbyists and relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree in public policy, public administration, law, or related field preferred.
• Ten (10) plus years of relevant work experience in state government affairs, public policy, or public affairs.
• Experience serving as a primary external representative before policymakers and regulators.
• Experience coordinating or managing contract lobbyists and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead state government affairs strategy across the Northeast region (12 states).
• Represent Modivcare before legislatures, governors’ offices, Medicaid agencies, and executive leadership.
• Manage advocacy efforts, regulatory monitoring, and stakeholder engagement across departments.
• Prepare testimony, letters, issue briefs, and executive talking points for hearings and regulatory proceedings.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and Legal to protect and advance business objectives.
