Job summary

Modivcare is seeking an experienced Government Affairs Director to drive the state-level strategy across the Northeast region (approximately 12 states). The role acts as the in-state face before Medicaid agencies, governors' offices, and legislatures, leading lobbying, policy monitoring, and stakeholder engagement to protect and grow the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of experience in state government affairs, public policy, or public affairs.
• Experience with Medicaid, transportation programs and PCS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead state-level legislative and executive branch advocacy, including lobbying and agency engagement.
• Develop and maintain relationships with legislative leaders, staff, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting contracts, reimbursement and compliance.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align public affairs with corporate priorities.
• Represent Modivcare in state-based committees and trade associations.
• Travel to state capitals as needed to advance policy objectives.
