Job summary

The State of Maryland's Department of Juvenile Services is seeking a materials management professional responsible for procurement, receipt, storage and distribution of supplies, materials and equipment across a large state institution. You will initiate requisitions and purchase orders and coordinate with vendors and the purchasing department to ensure timely, compliant delivery.

Strong knowledge of state purchasing policies, FMIS, and vendor selection processes is required; substitution

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years of experience in receiving, storing, issuing, purchasing and requisitioning supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Substitution: 30 college credits per year up to four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee materials management including procurement, receiving, storage, distribution and disposition of supplies and equipment.
• Lead requisitions and purchase orders with vendors and the purchasing department.
• Ensure compliance with state purchasing policies and regulations.
