Job summary

Rivian is seeking an experienced Stamping Engineering and Tooling leader for our Plymouth, MI facility. The role requires driving stamping processes and tool life cycles, with a focus on Class A panels and high-volume production.

You will manage feasibility studies, prototype reviews, and supplier collaboration, while guiding a cross-functional team to optimize design and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Must have Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification.
• Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree or 7+ years equivalent experience.
• Experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Six Sigma/Lean methods.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and implement best-practice stamping processes and policies.
• Review new initiatives and assess impact on stamping activities.
• Lead tool lifecycle from development to buyoff and delivery.
• Assist in stamping feasibility and simulation parameters.
• Oversee design reviews for DFM stamping practices.
• Evaluate prototypes for forming and surface quality.
• Provide feedback on vehicle architecture and materials.
