Job summary

Stryker Group is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Engineer to own data architecture for the robotic platform. You will define data management across R&D, service, clinical, and insight domains, enabling secure, interoperable data collection and logging across devices and platforms.

You will lead cross‑functional teams to translate clinical and regulatory needs into architecture decisions, define data artifacts, and drive verification, validation, and governance activities throughout development

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 6+ years of work experience.
• Experience in developing and optimizing complex systems.
• Experience leading cross-functional architecture decisions across systems and software.
• Experience with real-time and event-driven data flows.
• Ability to translate clinical, service, R&D, regulatory, and business use cases into system-level data needs and roadmaps.
• Experience defining data architectures, data products, information models, schemas, metadata and interfaces for complex system-of-systems products.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and regulated-data practices (PII/PHI).

Responsibilities

• Lead research, design, development, and evaluation of robotic and medical device systems, including platform data architecture and data management capabilities.
• Translate clinical, customer, regulatory, and business needs into system requirements and roadmaps.
• Define and maintain system and data architecture artifacts, including interfaces and data flows.
• Drive decomposition, modeling, and cross-functional integration across engineering teams.
• Lead system verification, validation, and analytical activities including risk analyses.
• Establish governance for data structures, interfaces, security, and lifecycle management.
• Guide resolution of design challenges and support product development through regulatory-compliant release.
• Mentor engineers and partner with customers to advance capabilities.
