GEICO seeks a Senior Staff Engineer to advance its site reliability engineering initiatives, focusing on incident prevention, post-incident learning, and scalable COE tooling. You will build automated pipelines, dashboards, and self-service capabilities to reduce repeats and improve reliability.

You will lead technical design for complex distributed systems, mentor teams, and drive cross‑team improvements while maintaining a strong culture of collaboration and operational excellence.

Competenze

• Hands-on proficiency in multiple languages (Go, Java, Python, C#) for production-grade apps on Kubernetes/Azure/AWS.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, reliability, and incident response.
• Experience building data pipelines, observability, and incident tooling.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and operate automation and tooling for COE workflows.
• Lead COE improvements and root cause analyses across teams.
• Coach engineers to identify root causes and produce high-quality COEs.
