Job summary

Loancrate, an AI-native fintech platform, is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to own and deliver end-to-end features across the stack. You will work on multi-step AI agents and critical mortgage workflows, influencing architecture and mentoring teammates.

You’ll build on a TypeScript/Node.js backend with React front-end, scale distributed systems, and partner with experts in security and product. Remote-friendly, USA-based role with strong compensation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years operating at senior level.
• Strong, recent production experience building TypeScript and Node.js backends, alongside hands-on React development.
• Experience scaling high-throughput distributed systems using AWS and Terraform.
• Production experience with Postgres and server-side GraphQL, ideally Apollo and Express.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack features using TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Develop multi-step AI agents that automate critical mortgage workflows.
• Integrate lending, underwriting, document and fraud prevention APIs.
• Scale distributed systems and improve backend reliability and observability.
• Make architecture decisions, contribute product ideas and mentor other engineers.
