Job summary

Loancrate Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager to own the health, output, and trajectory of a pod of 6–8 engineers reporting to the Head of Engineering.

You’ll partner with a Technical Lead on architecture and with a Product Manager on what’s worth building, ensuring the team ships high-quality, AI-driven mortgage workflows. You’ll drive onboarding, cadence, performance feedback, and cross-functional collaboration, balancing autonomy with accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience directly managing engineers on a product or platform team.
• Strong collaboration with Product Managers and stakeholders.
• Fluency with AI product development and applying AI in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own pod performance and set clear priorities and ownership.
• Own operating cadence: planning, retros, and follow-through.
• Remove blockers and maintain high-leverage problems.
• Represent engineering in tradeoffs and ensure quality.
