Job summary

Loancrate is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to drive full-stack development on a TS-first stack. You will build scalable features, design AI-driven mortgage workflows, and integrate APIS across lending, underwriting, documents, and fraud prevention.

Expect ownership, mentorship, and hands-on delivery in a remote-first US-based role. You’ll work with AWS, Terraform, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL (Apollo/Express) to scale high-throughput systems while maintaining security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in senior-level roles.
• Strong production experience with TS and Node.js backends plus React.
• Balanced full-stack background owning frontend and backend delivery.
• Experience scaling high-throughput distributed systems using AWS and Terraform.
• Production experience with Postgres and server-side GraphQL (Apollo/Express).
• Able to explain technical decisions and maintain product mindset and security awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Develop multi-step AI agents to automate mortgage workflows.
• Integrate lending, underwriting, document, and fraud-prevention APIs.
• Scale distributed systems and improve backend reliability and observability.
• Make architecture decisions, contribute product ideas and mentor teammates.
