Loancrate is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to drive full-stack development on a TS-first stack. You will build scalable features, design AI-driven mortgage workflows, and integrate APIS across lending, underwriting, documents, and fraud prevention.

Expect ownership, mentorship, and hands-on delivery in a remote-first US-based role. You’ll work with AWS, Terraform, PostgreSQL, and GraphQL (Apollo/Express) to scale high-throughput systems while maintaining security and reliability.

Qualifikationen

• Strong production experience with TS and Node.js backends plus React.
• Balanced full-stack background owning frontend and backend delivery.

• Able to explain technical decisions and maintain product mindset and security awareness.

Big Wave Digital is partnering with Loancrate, an AI-native fintech transforming how home loans are processed, to find a Senior / Staff Software Engineer.

With more than $85 billion in home loans powered through its platform, Loancrate is tackling a complex industry where better software can make a real difference. Think intelligent automation, sophisticated workflows and less time spent on manual processes.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building across the stack, solving challenging backend problems and taking features from an idea through to production.

What you’ll be working on

• Building full-stack features using TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Developing multi-step AI agents that automate critical mortgage workflows.
• Integrating lending, underwriting, document and fraud prevention APIs.
• Scaling distributed systems and improving backend reliability and observability.
• Making architecture decisions, contributing product ideas and mentoring other engineers.

What we’re looking for

You’re an experienced Senior or Staff engineer who still loves writing code. You’ve built software products within a high-growth, VC-backed tech company or a major technology business, with clear ownership and progression along the way.

You’ll bring:

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years operating at senior level.
• Strong, recent production experience building TypeScript and Node.js backends, alongside hands-on React development.
• A balanced full-stack background, comfortable owning both frontend and backend delivery.
• Experience scaling high-throughput distributed systems using AWS and Terraform.
• Production experience with Postgres and server-side GraphQL, ideally Apollo and Express.
• A product mindset, strong security awareness and the ability to explain your technical decisions.

Experience in fintech, payments, lending or money movement would be particularly useful. Hands-on AI development, including evaluations and building reliable LLM workflows, is also a bonus.
