Job summary

Talanto is seeking a senior software engineer to help build the tools that scale datacenter construction and operations. You will work closely with engineers, data teams, and field operators to model complex domains and ship reliable software that accelerates compute readiness.

Experience in datacenters, large-scale projects, and startup environments is valued. The role combines hands-on coding with cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid SF office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience in full-stack roles.
• Experience building software used by teams in physical-world industries (datacenters, construction, energy, manufacturing, supply chain).
• Track record of zero-to-one projects in startup-like environments.
• Strong user-centric approach; learn domain from practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Build core systems tracking a datacenter's lifecycle (sites, designs, BOM, equipment, construction progress).
• Embed with field teams to map workflows and surface reliable tools.
• Migrate and reconcile messy data; integrate with construction and engineering systems.
• Design for trust with granular permissions, auditability, and data quality.
• Ship early; iterate with users to bring compute online faster.
• Collaborate with research to align model capabilities with engineering needs.
