Job summary

Talanto is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Workday Finance systems. You will collaborate with Product Managers and Finance domain experts to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.

The role emphasizes distributed, cloud-based enterprise applications, APIs, data models, and high transaction volume processing, with a focus on reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with ownership of complex systems.
• Strong programming experience in one or more modern languages such as Java, Python, C++, Go, or similar.
• Experience designing distributed systems and scalable backend services.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SOA/microservices, and asynchronous/event-driven systems.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern software development practices.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable software services supporting Workday Finance capabilities.
• Own complex technical problems from requirements and architecture through implementation, production deployment, and ongoing support.
• Design and implement reliable APIs, backend services, data models, and distributed systems.
