Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior/Staff Site Reliability Engineer to shape the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of a high-volume cloud platform serving a large-scale device ecosystem. This role partners with engineering and customer-facing teams to improve infrastructure resilience and multi-region deployments.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in production AWS environments using Terraform.
• Expertise in high availability, multi-region infrastructure with Kubernetes.
• Experience managing large sharded MongoDB clusters under heavy workloads.
• Background in high-growth startup environments.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage core infrastructure with Terraform on AWS via EKS.
• Lead initiatives to achieve 99.99% availability and implement multi-region deployment.
• Support a platform operating at very large scale across hundreds of millions of devices.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately every 1-2 months.
• Engage directly with customers to gather feedback that informs improvements.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Senior / Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of a high-volume cloud platform serving a large-scale device ecosystem. The person in this position will partner closely with engineering and customer-facing teams to improve infrastructure resilience, support multi-region deployments, and strengthen the customer experience. This is an opportunity to make a measurable impact on availability, performance, and production readiness in a fast-moving technology environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually.
