Ladders is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen the reliability and operability of our cloud services for enterprise customers. This remote US role blends software engineering with infrastructure automation, observability, and cross-functional influence to raise service quality.

You will partner with product and engineering teams, design resilient distributed systems, and lead incident response improvements while mentoring senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience for cloud products.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as C#, Java, Go, or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and IaC tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
• Strong observability expertise and experience with metrics and SLOs.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence architecture.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, production-grade code.
• Design distributed, multi-region services with a focus on failure modes.
• Collaborate with product teams to establish and align on reliability standards.
• Automate system instrumentation for effective detection and response.
• Lead blameless post-incident reviews and implement systemic fixes.

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will help shape the reliability, resilience, and operability of cloud-based services that support enterprise customers at scale. You will partner closely with product and engineering teams to strengthen architecture, improve incident response, and drive systemic improvements across distributed systems. The position blends hands‑on software engineering with infrastructure automation, observability, and cross‑functional influence to raise the bar for service quality.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $198,100 – $367,900 annually
